 banks in the United States have not been #required to actually hold any #depositor money in the bank, making a flawed system — fractional reserve banking — worse. 

The #intervention stopped the #depositor panic and helped those markets recover that got hit last week amid fears of a wider banking contagion, including cryptocurrencies.
