To unsend messages on WhatsApp, follow these steps:
On Mobile Devices:
- Open WhatsApp and navigate to the chat where you want to delete a message.
- Tap and hold the message you wish to delete.
- Choose "Delete" or the trash can icon from the options menu that appears.
- Select either "Delete for Everyone" if you want the message deleted from both yours and the recipient's device, or "Delete for Me" to remove it only from your own view.
On WhatsApp Web:
- Log into WhatsApp Web and access the desired chat.
- Hover your mouse pointer over the message and click on the drop-down menu icon next to it.
- Select "Delete" from the options.
- Choose between "Delete for Everyone" or "Delete for Me," depending on whether you want the message removed for all participants or just yourself.
Please note that you have up to two days to delete a message after sending it, according to recent updates from WhatsApp. Once this time frame elapses, you cannot delete the message. Keep in mind that the recipient will see a notification stating "This message was deleted" when you use the "Delete for Everyone" feature.
