To protect Chrome passwords using Windows Hello, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your Windows 10 or 11 device.
  2. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome (three-dotted) button in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. On the left pane, select Autofill and passwords.
  5. Click Google Password Manager on the right pane.
  6. Click Settings on the left navigation page.
  7. Toggle off the "Use Windows Hello when filling passwords" switch to enable Windows Hello for filling passwords.

If you wish to disable the Windows Hello feature for password filling in Chrome:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 as mentioned above.
  2. In the Autofill and passwords section, click Google Password Manager.
  3. Click Settings on the left navigation page.
  4. Toggle off the "Use Windows Hello when filling passwords" switch to disable the feature.

Please note that enabling Windows Hello for password filling adds an extra layer of security by requiring biometric authentication before Chrome automatically fills in your passwords.
